Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about UK tyre fitment, MOT rules and seasonal options.
Do I need to replace tyres in pairs or as a full set?
At minimum, replace as a matched pair on the same axle. A full set gives the most balanced UK handling, especially in wet weather.
Should I worry about the tyre date code?
Yes. Avoid tyres older than 2-3 years at the point of fitting, even if unused. Rubber compounds harden over time.
Do I need wheel alignment with new tyres?
Wheel alignment is recommended whenever you fit new tyres or notice uneven wear. It protects your investment and improves handling.
